Located in beautiful Batemans Bay, on the South East Coast of NSW, Julie-anne Humphries offers professional training for riders and horses, from beginners and those starting out, through to advanced competition riders.
Julie-anne is an Equestrian Australia Level 2 Eventing Specialist Coach & Skills Specific Training Assessor.
As a child growing up on the coast she was a riding member of BBPC and later became a registered member of the paid instructors panel for Pony Club NSW.
Julie-anne won the Eurobodalla Australian of the year award in the late 90's, attended the Active Australia Campaign as guest speaker, ran the Sydney 2000 Olympic torch & stood among the finalists for 2019 Coach of the year for the NSW Equestrian Australia Awards for excellence.
She has a wealth of equine & coaching knowledge, her experience includes, Equine Industries Course TAFE teacher, racehorse trainer, breaker and breeder, show jumping, dressage, halter & under saddle showing , cattle work & barrel racing.
Valued influences on Julie-anne's training are the elite professionals in their field, including Heath Ryan, Chris Burton, Stephen Dingwall and Nina Boyd.
Julie-anne takes great pride in the fact that she held the position of resident rider for Olympic gold medalist Neale Lavis.
She campaigned his personally selected team of eventing horses, together they enjoyed much success producing short list quality!
Neale will always be highly regarded as her mentor.
Julie-anne's mission is to share state of the art schooling & professional facilities with riders and interested people on the south coast of NSW where she enjoys helping anyone who wishes to solve a problem with their horse, improve their confidence and horsemanship, simply ride a horse or compete at an International level.
Julie-anne is currently eventing at all levels, including riding the green horse at introductory levels through to the international campaigner.
